
Dimitri De Bundel
Biography
Dimitri De Bundel is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He graduated as a Pharmacist (summa cum laude, 2004) and obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2009) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He pursued postdoctoral training at Karolinska Institutet (Sweden, 2009-2011) and Institut Génomique Fonctionelle (France, 2011-2014). Dimitri De Bundel is a member of the Experimental Pharmacology research group, which employs a range of behavioural, neurochemical and electrophysiological approaches to study the brain. Through precision pharmacology with modulation of cellular activity in brain regions of interest, he aims to contribute to a better understanding and treatment of memory and mood dysfunction in neurological and psychiatric disorders.
